The Board of Directors of the European Liver Patients' Association (ELPA) visits the Egyptian Liver Hospital
Yesterday, Dr. Gamal shiha the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egy Liver Association in Dakahhlia, welcomed the delegation of the Board of Directors of the European Liver Patients' Association (ELPA) , that was visiting the Egyptian Liver Hospital in Shirbin, which is affiliated with the Egy Liver Association in Dakahhlia.
During the visit, the delegation inspected all the hospital’s departments, and was impressed by the distinguished and advanced medical level of the hospital and the excellent medical care which provided to the patients with liver disease and liver tumours.
The European delegation discussed with the hospital leaderships about the Egyptian National Experience in the Treatment of Liver Diseases and the Hepatitis-Free Village Project implemented by Egy Liver Association, which played a major role in eliminating the hepatitis viruses free of charge in more than 100 Egyptian villages.
Also, the delegation of the European Liver Patients' Association (ELPA) visited the Technical Institute for Nursing, the Higher Technological Institute of Applied Health—both affiliated with the Egy Liver Association—and the Advanced Research Center. This visit comes within the framework of the partnership between the Egy Health Association and ELPA, as the Egy Health Association is a founder member of ELPA, which is represented by Dr. Gamal Shiha as a board member on the board of the European Liver Patients' Association (ELPA).
